This is a very cool, properly old piece dating from around the WW1 period. Items like this were also used extensively during WW1 as well, but I don't think they were standard issue - no military arrow that I can find. At approximately the same size as a tin of food, this is a neat little kerosene or oil lamp that can be quickly reconfigured as a water or food heater, a small stove, in effect.

Near as I can tell it's complete, and it's in really nice order per the photos. Probably still works quite well, I haven't tested it however. The wick extension mechanism still works, looks like the wick has been replaced at some point. The only text I can find anywhere is on the wick-winder itself, says "(something) in England" - guessing "made in...". It's the same sort of mechanism as used in an oil or kerosene lamp (of the type with a glass chimney), so would have been inexpensive to churn out in large numbers in a short period of time.
