This was my late wife's but hasn't been used for about 20 years. Was purchased new in the 70s and went well when it was being used but other than that, can't help much with this.

Highly recommend the following: Strap to a half pallet and wrap with industrial 'gladwrap'; Fragile stickers; use Mainfreight or the like. This is bigger than what the regular couriers through Trade Me can manage Trade Me Seller • 6:17 am, Mon, 23 Jun I've been able to get an estimate from NZ Couriers based on packaging it to a size of 150cm x 50cm x 30cm. This makes is 0.225cubic metres. Based on their website it can be delivered to an agent ion Palmerston but inter island tickets cost $38 per .025 cubic metres which means 10 tickets ($380) plus I estimate $20 for packaging for both the machine and ribber. You would need to allow $400, possibly more if both parts and the stand turn out to be bigger when packaged. Trade Me Seller Comment 11:18 pm, Mon, 23 Jun I'm not entirely sure how to do all that. We would need to find an alternative carrier like Mainfreight unfortunately.
